Warehouse assistant
part-time
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will start your week with unloading delivered food coming into the Food Bank using a forklift. Other team members also help with these duties. Once unloaded and weighed, your team will break down pallets of food and distribute it to the correct storage location in the warehouse using a forklift, pallet jacks and push carts. You will be working close with volunteers and community members donating food, so engagement and top customer service is important in this position.
You will be keeping shelves stocked throughout the morning when those in need in our community receive food items. This nonprofit also distributes to additional sites in our community. Safe COVID procedures in place.
The other focus of this Warehouse Assistant is driving company trucks transporting food to a second storage location and material to recycling facilities and the Waste Transfer Station. No CDL is required.
Compensation for the Warehouse Assistant: $15 per hour
Includes 20 days of PTO
Day Shift with hours 8 am – 12 noon.
Requirements of the Warehouse Assistant

Forklift, warehouse, and inventory experience a Plus. Can be trained.

Commercial driving experience preferred. Can be trained.
