VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Preventing hunger and poverty takes hundreds of volunteers every year to help execute projects within our organization. Our new mobile outreach is one area where more help is needed. There are two main elements to this outreach. The packing of the food boxes and handing out the boxes to the community. The boxes we pack end up weighing approximately 20-23 lbs. providing food provisions for a family of 3-4 for 3-4 days. The outreach to the community is the second element. We hand out the food boxes twice a week for a couple of hours each time.
We currently operate the distribution on Mondays from 1pm to 3pm and Fridays from 3pm to 5pm. We pack the boxes Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 12pm or 12pm to 2pm.
